Toltec, Mayan, and Hopi prophecies pinpoint these times as a period of radical change moving us from a dependence on material things to the new paradigm of releasing our attachments. A second theme-change calls for a shift: from trying to find external solutions to problems to looking within to solve our problems. In fact, by May of this year – 2021 – the fuel that feeds the 5th sun and its old paradigm will be shut off and the new 6th sun will be firmly in place with its new paradigm. This does not mean that it will necessarily be easy to make this dramatic shift. Old habits die hard, especially those that have been in place for a 6,625-year cycle. The difference will be that our old way of doing things will no longer bear fruit because the fuel spigot will be completely shut off for that old approach and the fuel spigot for the new way will be completely turned on and will only fuel the new paradigm.
Let’s use an analogy to be clear about this change. Let us say that there are several fueling stations on Alpha Street on the approach to the airport in the city you are visiting. On your travels to that city you always stop there for gas or electricity to refuel your rental car before returning it. Let us say that due to expansion of the airport that these stations will be moved during a several-week period to Delta street. First, several will close on Alpha Street and reopen on Delta Street and then several weeks later the rest of the stations will close and reopen on Delta street. For several weeks there will be fuel available on both streets. Then Alpha street stations will close permanently and there will be no more fuel available there.
Signs and notices have been posted online and on the streets around the airport but not everyone will get the message for various reasons, mostly because they have not been paying attention. On the day of the total closure of both stations on Alpha street what do you think will happen? A long line of cars will pile up on Alpha street looking for fuel but there won’t be any. People will be angry and confused many shaking their fists and decrying the lack of fuel. Many cars will run out of gas and there will be chaos and confusion. People who got the notice and remembered the closure will be on Delta street refueling their cars and they will be able to drive to their destinations. People will be polarized between those that don’t and those that do have fuel. There will be fights and perhaps accidents on Alpha street. On Delta street people will be smiling and going about their business with greater ease.
Now the truth is that even after several months or in some cases years, absent-minded people will forget and, having other things on their minds they will automatically go to Alpha Street for their fuel and will curse at discovering their costly mistake. These may include some people who had already been to Delta street for their fuel on a number of occasions. Old habits die slowly. Then there will be the people who are so resistant and stubborn that they won’t ever rent a car again or possibly even fly again because they resent the change and do not want to go to a different street to buy fuel. And of course, there may be those who deeply resent the change, go along with it, but bitterly complain to everyone about the change for years. Ugh.
Let’s look at the actual shift more closely. What does it mean to look within for the solutions to external problems? Who and what are we in the habit of depending on to live our lives? What if I have been in the habit of taking painkillers every time I get a bad headache – even a mild one? For some reason this method of handling a headache stops working. This puts me in a very grumpy mood, perhaps even desperate. I can redouble my efforts at finding more extreme things to take externally to solve this problem. Finally, it dawns on me that this form of dependence needs looking at because it is no longer working in the way it used to. I may have to finally look at my contribution to the headaches. Perhaps I hate to admit that they get me attention from my spouse or children. Maybe I notice that every time I get a headache I have been severely disappointed by someone I trusted to come through for me and that the main underlying emotion is anger and the reaction is to blame. There are limitless possibilities for explaining why I get the headaches but knowing the inner dynamic can help me to begin to unravel the automatic response or help me discover that I play a part in my own headaches and can learn to release them without external bailouts.
Remote Healing
Each month, around the new and full moons, Jose, Lena or Anna leads a remote shamanic healing session. These approximately 30 minute sessions are designed to be experienced in a quiet, safe place free from distraction. Even if you cannot join live they can be very powerful, and always include a good clearing and beautiful icaros. Recording access is included for a short time afterwards. See the product description for dates and times.
This may seem improbable but actually it is quite real. Big pharma is going to be in big trouble as people discover that most medications function as placebos and will no longer produce results the way they used to. This is already happening. Even sugar pills won’t work because they are external. Now realize that I am not saying that you should drop all your medications in the wastebasket. That would be irresponsible because old habits die slowly. What I am suggesting here is that we form bridge behaviors. We continue to take the medication and we also begin to look more closely at what we are doing to help cause the problem. Eventually we may be able to lower the dosage and then perhaps after a time let go of it altogether as we build strength and confidence in looking within. This is not an individual problem needing change but a mass event and there will be much support and help springing up to help people make the transition. It will work very well for mature and older souls but younger souls who do not know or understand that there is “a within” will be in for difficulty. What do I do if my medication no longer works and I don’t know how to look within because for me it doesn’t exist?
That is a painful realization. More probable is that they can be trained in simple self-hypnosis techniques or biofeedback methods that can help them get symptomatic relief without understanding their part in creating the problem. This means that they may continue to have the problem periodically but they can get some relief for it along the way. Either way there is money to be made in re-educating billions of people or whoever is left to educate.
This is only one example of the many things we depend on that we may need to become more conscious about, allowing us to begin to do more for ourselves. There are so many ways that we have become lazy because we have learned habits of replacing people or products when we perceive that they won’t work out to our ideals. Until recently, many city dwellers relied on restaurants and take-out for most of their meals and now many no longer know how to cook anything for themselves. We take hundreds of supplements thinking that they are replacements for a healthy attitude, wellness beliefs, and healthy living practices. There are many things we’ve become addicted to that we take for granted, not realizing that we are relying on them to fix us without changing our ways. These are all going to be up for scrutiny. Little by little, these old external solutions will go away if we do not look within for clarity, understanding, and guidance. With most systems collapsing, including health care, what we mindlessly thought would heal us will no longer be there. What we will discover is that it was never adequately there in the first place.
A good general rule is that if there is anything we have become addicted to it is probably suspect, in that it has allowed us to go unconscious and rely on externals. We have become addicted to religion and an external God, addicted to shopping, addicted to gaming, addicted to sex, sports, and food, addicted to news, conspiracy theories, and politics, addicted to money-making schemes, becoming wealthy, having power, pursuing military might, engaging in white collar crime. Perhaps we are addicted to violence, status, fashion, and the list goes on and on. All these addictions help us to hide from what is really going on with us; our deep grief at isolation, our fear of one another, our fear of differences in race, gender, culture, and age, our blind ambitions and our desire to look away and deny what we find unpleasant, outside our boxes, or comfort zones. When all this is stripped away we may just have to wake up or alternatively, self-destruct because we refuse to change. We are faced with many choices but, for the most part, the alternatives are not that great because they do not lead to satisfaction and happiness. There is only one choice that does lead to fulfillment and it requires some hard but satisfying work: looking within and waking up.
